    • alright, but just a short one:

      first of all, the setlist:
      Slave Labor
      Cyberwaste
      Demanufacture
      Zero Signal
      Shock
      Edgecrusher
      Scumgrief
      Arise Above Oppression
      Archetype
      Act Of God
      Martyr
      Replica

well, what´s left to say? singer burton c. bell is acting professional as ever, even though his vocals strongly depend on the use of different filters - but never mind. he does an impressive job on stage and the crowd loved him, which is the main thing.

raymond herrera, drums - I could write endlessly about him, because his drumming is reallyreally awesome. He acts like a well-oiled machine, or like a racing-car - it takes a few laps (the first 2 songs), but when he has reached operating temperature, he seems to be unstoppable.

christian olde wolbers does a very good job on that 7-string (yesss!) jackson-guitar (btw: guess who is the jackson-guitar-girl this year? unfortunately not renee, but almost as lovely!) - his performance fits in nicely to emphasize the power and pressure created by raymond and burton.

the concert as such was far too short, FF did not even play a full hour. maybe this has something to do with the facts that the concert was rescheduled - it should have been an open air concert, but since they did not sell that many tickets they made it to be an indoor thing. that special venue is notorious in vienna because it´s fucking hot in there - we were having 42 degrees celsius in there (which is about 108 degrees fahrenheit) and I guess FF were not amused by this.

To sum it all up, I´d like to say that I was pretty impressed by the gig, FF did well and the crowd loved them. I hope they won´t let us wait another 7 years until they show up again in austria - and I hope they sell more tix and perform in a way larger venue....

Pungent Stench can never achieve something better than their first album For God your soul.... that thing ROCKS :D

      The song is too nice.
Apropos, Amy Lee looks like Renee, but Renee is more beautiful

      José Fernando

      Hi Jose,

Amy Lee is a real cutie. But in my opinion she doesn't look like Renee. I think she is more resembling Nikita Denise on most pictures I saw of her.

pah, davor hab ich keine angst, wat meinst du, wie meine studentenbude aussieht :D Ich bin das letzte mal vor knapp drei Jahren in Wien gewesen, muss mal wieder hin, aber ich muss mich ab november auf mein Staatsexamen vorbereiten, da wirds wohl eher nix mitm verreisen :( aba trotzdem danke :)
da sollten links rein, aba klappen tuts wohl nich :(
    • @Fiercedragon

      Linkin Park
      Red Hot Chilli Peppers
      The Offspring
      Evanesence
      R.E.M
      Nirvana
      Within Temptation
      Seether
      The Rasmus
      Hoobastank
      Jet
      Papa Roach

Vor allem in letzter zeit sehr viel von der neuen papa roach cd: "getting away with murder" mMn eine genile cd!
auch von der Jet-Cd: "Get Born" könnt ich mich den ganzen tag zudröhnen lassen. :D
    • vienna_fan, surely "Disclaimer II" is stunning. Amy Lee is a gifted and atypical singer. I listen the song only one time and I liked. Nevertheless, I don't know the other songs of "Broken".

SevenOfNine, you're right. Amy Lee and Renee don't resemble. On the clip of "Everybody's Fool" I noticed it. But it doesn't matter. Both are beautiful and gifted.
Sorry, but I don't know Nikita Demise, for the time being.

Fiercedragon, thanks for the hint. I'm familiarized with lucifer, demons, because king Diamond talks only on it on the songs of him. * ROFL*

scotchtrinker, I think you would appreciate Krisiun, The Haunted, in the first album, Adrian sings in the speed of the light. Unhappily him left the band after this work. Lately I have listen Hate Campaign from the Dismember. Drummer Fred Estby is unstoppable.
Hereafter I will buy other CDs from the Pungent Stench.

krisium kicks ass, but I just like Kataklysm more than their Brasilian "copiers" ;)

but nevertheless, they rock like hell :)

I tend to listen to older ND Stuff, like the From Enslavement and Death by Manipulation, that is true neckbreaking stuff :)

Well, I don't have CDs from the Kataklysm. but I already listen two songs of them. "Manipulation" from the CD The Prophecy and "Manipulator of Souls" From the CD Epic: Poetry Of War. I didn't know that Krisiun copied Kataklysm. I will try to know.

From the Napalm Death I have: diatribes, Inside The Torn Apart, Words From The Exit Wound, Leaders Not followers, Enemy Of The Music Business and Order Of The Leech and also the DVDs Punishment In Capitals and ND The DVD. I bought two CDs of the ND only in 1998 (diatribes and Inside ..)

they do not copy Kataklysm, but they sound quite alike, just very fast deathgrind with killer riffs ;)
